We are looking for a passionate Senior Java Engineer to join our new Payments / Finance team. In this role you have the opportunity to, together with the rest of the team, bring a completely new concept to life by implementing a payment system from scratch. You will work closely with the product owner, architect, and the payment provider we select, along with the rest of the (cross functional) product teams to create foundational value for the whole organization.
Your Team:
The Payments/Finance team’s mission is to create a seamless, end-to-end payment solution, allowing our B2B customers to pay for orders directly—something entirely new for us and a project we're excited to deliver. Next to that the team will be responsible for other financial processes like invoice preparation and credit checks. We work closely with product and platform teams to ensure their software is deployed and runs securely and efficiently.
Who you are:
Solid experience with the Java ecosystem (5+ years).
Basic experience with Golang or excited to learn
Excited to implement Payment providers (Stripe or Adyen)
Experience working with Spring Boot.
Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Terraform.
Comfortable with using different types of storage: relational, NoSQL DBs.
Experience building scalable and well-tested APIs.
Experienced working in CI/CD environments.
